Specialist information: The control unit acts as a forward command and control point at all large and major incidents. Its communication systems include radio, telephone and fax machine as well as a radio system to be used exclusively at the site of the incident, a Heli-Teli link and full ITS equipment. The vehicle is fully air-conditioned and has command, conference and communications sections. When deployed, it is always accompanied by a fire appliance. Its 7kw generator powers the on-board systems.
