Car in Collision With a House

in News

The incident happened just before 11.45pm at her home in Hill Gate, and two fire engines from Hereford attended along with the Incident Support Unit and the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team, both from Droitwich.

Watch Commander Martin Greenhouse from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "It was fortunate that the female occupant was elsewhere in her cottage when the collision occurred as the car came through the side of the house into the living room area downstairs."

He explained that the car was left embedded in the side of the house, and so the woman was advised to vacate the property and an exclusion zone was set up outside.

Structural engineers and builders are expected to attend the address this morning (Thursday 2 August) to carry out a full assessment.

The driver of the vehicle was checked by paramedics at the scene and police also attended.
