Free ‘Biker Down’ course during Road Safety Week

in Events in News

Bikers in Worcestershire are invited to attend a free Biker Down course as part of the BRAKE National Road Safety Week (19-25 November 2018).

This hugely popular half-day course is designed for motorcyclists of all ages and experience and offers:

  • collision scene management advice
  • essential first aid training and casualty care (including CPR and helmet removal)
  • advice on visibility and positioning

The course aims to reduce motorcycle-related incidents and the number of casualties and fatalities.

Courses earlier this year were fully-booked and this new autumn event will consider safer winter riding.

To secure a place in advance of the event, bikers and motorcyclists should call 01905 331323, or email roadsafety1@westmercia.pnn.police.uk. Space is limited.

Biker Down is delivered in Herefordshire and Worcestershire by the Safer Roads Partnership, West Mercia Police, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, Midlands Air Ambulance (MAA), and the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM RoadSmart).
