Evesham old new

Operational crews will be transferring to the new Evesham Fire Station off Abbey Road on Monday 12 December 2016 at 9am. A farewell parade will take place starting at the current fire station in Merstow Green, which will then be followed by a convoy of fire engines to the new station.

The event will host fire service personnel including Chief Fire Officer Nathan Travis, VIP Cllr Smith and Cllr Prodger. Also in attendance will be original Merstow Green Station Commander Roy Corbett and other retired firefighters from the service.

The parade will arrive at 09:25am at the new station, built by Greswolde Construction, will replace the 50 year old fire station currently in operation and will provide top quality facilities including improved training facilities that will allow crews to prepare for different types of fire and rescue scenarios.

The new location, next to the leisure centre, is an excellent site that has been fully assessed for response times; it has good access to the main road network and has been deemed a suitable replacement site.
