Woman Cut Free Following Traffic Collision

The Service was alerted to the incident at 5.40pm and fire crews from Bromsgrove and Redditch attended, joining police and ambulance personnel already at the scene. The Service’s Incident Support Unit from Droitwich also attended.

Fire crews used cutting equipment and heavy rescue gear to release a female casualty trapped inside the car and she was then taken to hospital by land ambulance. A second female was also assisted from the car and checked by ambulance personnel at the roadside.

The incident followed a serious collision along the A465 at Burley Gate just before 10am on Friday 31 May where fire crews extricated a female from one of the two vehicles involved.

Crews also attended collisions in Wribenhall, near Bewdley, and at Pipe and Lyde, near Hereford, on Friday.
