Mobile Home Destroyed by Fire

Firefighters from Bewdley and Kidderminster were called to the caravan site in Lye Head, Bewdley at just before 9.30am. On arrival they found one of the caravans had a large fire inside it.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and brought the fire under control using two hose reels and one jet.

Station Commander Chris White said: "Fortunately the two occupants inside the caravan managed to escape before the fire took hold. However, one of them was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally and fire investigation officers have been at the scene today to establish the exact cause.
