Worcester Fire Station opens its doors to the public

Worcester Fire Station on McKenzie Way will be opening its doors to the public this Saturday (9 September) from 10am - 4pm for its annual open day. The event is free for all to attend and promises to be entertaining for all of the family.

There will be a wide range of fun filled activities for everyone to enjoy including demonstrations where you can watch firefighters demonstrate how and what equipment they would use to rescue casualties from a road traffic collision, an aerial appliance demonstration and fire engine rides.

Visitors will have the chance to have a first-hand look at the impressive equipment and vehicles as well as meet the local Firefighters, Police and Community First Responders. Also present at the event will be Highways England, Fortis Housing, Headway, Saving Hearts, Young Firefighters Association and Urban Search and Rescue.

Visitors will be able to indulge in refreshments from a BBQ, Ice Cream Van and cold and hot drinks will be on sale throughout the day.
