The Great Spring Garden Event organised by the Red Cross celebrated its 20th year anniversary recently (Wednesday 26 April). Theevent had various exhibitions including specialist plant nurseries and community engagement initiatives that took place throughout the day in the beautiful surroundings of Newport House, Herefordshire.

The event was well attended with approximately 1500 people visiting the illustrious event. Present on the day were several dignitaries including Lord-Lieutenant Lady Darnley along with Deputy Chief Fire Officer Richard Lawrence.

The event was a great opportunity to work collaboratively alongside West Mercia Police and the Red Cross enabling the Community Risk team to review activities and lead by example to help to improve the lives and wellbeing of the community.
