Exercise Market Garden (A Bridge Too Far) involved a scenario in which several people had fallen into the river following an altercation in the centre of Kidderminster. Crews from Stourport and Bewdley were supported by Water First Responders from Kidderminster and Tenbury Wells, with SARA bringing additional expertise as the incident progressed.

Organiser WC Mick Rowlands said: "The weather on Tuesday night was particularly dank which presented additional challenges, but the crews and our friends from SARA worked well together to deploy and effect the rescues in a timely manner."

Station Commander Daryl Justice added: "The dynamics at this type of incident enabled us to test and develop some of our up and coming level 1 commanders as well as giving managers from SARA the opportunity to see our command system in operation. Embedding closer working with SARA is one of our key objectives for the coming year, so this was an excellent start and one which we can build upon as the year progresses."
