Outhouse Destroyed by Fire

Two fire crews from Bromyard attended, arriving to find an outhouse at the property on fire. Two firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze with one hose reel, one covering jet and a thermal imaging camera used. Ventilation equipment was also used to clear smoke from the house.

No one was injured during the incident but the outhouse was destroyed by the fire.

Station Commander Adrian Moore from HWFRS said: “Thanks to an early alert from a working smoke alarm in the house, crews were able to tackle this fire before it had chance to spread any further. We’d urge everyone to ensure they have smoke alarms fitted in their home and that they test these alarms on a regular basis.”

Police also attended the incident.
