Man injured in road traffic collision on A38
On 13th March at 07:54, two appliances from Droitwich Spa Fire Station were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A38, Roman Way.
On arrival crews found two cars that had been involved in a significant impact with the male driver trapped in his vehicle. Working alongside West Midlands Ambulance, firefighters used ultra heavy cutting equipment to release the driver from his vehicle by removing the roof.
Air and land ambulances also attended the scene. The driver, suffering from suspected spinal injuries, was transported to Worcester Royal Hospital by road ambulance.
Police closed the road until approximately 10:38hrs to carry out a collision investigation.
