Fire service dealing with gas leak in Bromsgrove

Firefighters from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are currently dealing with a gas leak in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove.

Group Commander George Marshall said: "We are currently dealing with an on-going incident in Bromsgrove involving a gas leak. All affected properties have been evacuated and a 200 metre cordon has been put in place."

"The leak has now been isolated and the emergency services are working with gas engineers to make the area safe."

He continued: "As a precaution, we encourage local residents to keep their doors and windows closed until incident has concluded."

UPDATE:

The earlier gas leak in Stokes Prior in Bromsgrove is now resolved and local residents can now open windows and doors.
