Do you work with community groups?

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is looking for dedicated members of the community, as well as volunteers and employees of the Fire Service, to form part of the newly formed Positive Action Sub Group.

The main aim of the Group will be to recommend positive actions and initiatives to the Fire and Rescue Service’s Equality and Diversity Group in order to:

  • Support people from under-represented parts of the community who would like to work for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service
  • Help to better promote Equality & Diversity across Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

The Group will meet on a quarterly basis, or as necessary, and membership will include uniformed and support staff from within the Service, Service volunteers as well as members of the local community.

Please note that this is an unpaid voluntary role and Positive Action Sub Group members will be able to claim reasonable expenses in relation to their role.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory confirmation of identity/right to reside in the United Kingdom and satisfactory references.
