National Fire Sprinkler Week 2015

Fire sprinkler week

It's Fire Sprinkler Week 2015 (16-22 March) and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service wants to raise awareness of the benefits that sprinklers have for businesses, especially those with higher-risk premises.

The theme of the week is how fitting automatic fire sprinkler systems can make a big difference to business continuity. The objectives of the week are also to:

  • Encourage businesses to consider how fitting sprinklers can not only protect people and their valuable assets, but also how reducing the risk and potential damage of fire can help achieve business continuity.
  • To promote with business owners and leaders the economic, social and business benefits of having sprinklers and to dispel myths such as those highlighted on our website.

Please see Fire Sprinkler Week 2015, for more information.

Sprinklers save lives

In properties where sprinklers are fitted, the risk of death or injury from fire is greatly reduced, particularly in the homes of those more vulnerable, or in buildings of increased risk, such as high rise flats, where escape may be more difficult.
