Road traffic collision near Bircher

Crews from Kingsland and Leominster attended, arriving to find a collision involving a car and a people carrier, with a woman trapped inside the car.

Firefighters removed the roof from the car to release the casualty and she was taken by land ambulance to hospital. A second casualty was also taken to hospital.

Before leaving the scene, crews ensured that both vehicles involved were left in a safe condition and they used their environmental grab pack to deal with an oil spill from the car's engine. The Highways Agency was called to bring absorbent granules for the oil on the carriageway, and police also attended the incident.
