Open Day at Stourport Fire Station

in News

The open day will take place at Stourport Fire Station in Foundry Street between 12 midday and 4pm on Saturday 30 June and will include a number of displays and demonstrations, as well as an opportunity to get advice on a range of safety issues.

Local fire crews will be joined by partner agencies (including the police, ambulance service, Community Housing Group and SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association)) as well as Water First Responders, USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) and the YFA (Young Firefighters Association), with the latter demonstrating the activities they get involved with and helping out with the face-painting. HWFRS's Community Safety team will also be attending, bringing along the 'smoke house' and demonstrating why smoke alarms are so vital.

There will also be a bouncy castle, a tombola and a raffle, plus a range of refreshments available (barbecue, ice cream van etc).

Station Commander Adrian Thompson from HWFRS said: "Entry to the open day is free, with plenty to interest visitors of all ages, so why not make a note of the date and bring your family and friends along if you can!" .
