Fires in Broadway

The first call was to the police station, in Leamington Road, at 12.17am. One crew from Broadway and another from Evesham attended the incident. On arrival they found there were in fact two separate fires – one at the police station and a second at the nearby library. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used jets to deal with the fire.

Just under one hour later at 1.07am a crew from Pebworth were called to St Eadburghs Church, Snowshill Road, where they discovered a large fire in the doorway of the church. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel and a covering jet.

At 1.14am two crews from Evesham Fire Station were called to Lifford Hall, Lower Green, where a fire was discovered in a doorway. Again two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to deal with the fire.

Fire officers are now working closely with the police to try and determine the exact cause of these fires. Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 3-s-250314.
