Update on collision involving fire engine

in News

The incident happened at around 8.30am at the junction of College Road and New Road, just near Bromsgrove town centre, and a fire crew from Redditch joined the Bromsgrove crew, paramedics and police at the scene.

Two of the three passengers from the people carrier were taken by ambulance to hospital following the collision.

The driver of the people carrier and the crew from the fire engine were not hurt, and the fire engine involved, which was responding to an emergency call at the time, sustained only minor damage.

Area Commander Jon Pryce from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The Service treats all such incidents with the utmost seriousness and will be carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. In the meantime, we would like to wish the boys involved in the incident a full and speedy recovery."
