Droitwich Fire Station Community Safety Day - Saturday 29 July

Droitwich Fire Station on Friar Street will be opening its doors to the public this Saturday (29 July) from 11am - 3pm for a Community Safety Day. The event is free for all to attend and promises to be entertaining for all of the family.

There will be a wide range of fun filled activities for everyone to enjoy including road traffic collision demonstrations where you can watch firefighters demonstrate how and what equipment they would use to rescue casualties from such incidents, fire safety displays, Urban Search and Rescue displays; as well as a Young Firefighters demonstrations.

Additional to our firefighters and young firefighters will be Community First Responders, Police Cadets and Droitwich AED Charity who will be doing various activities including CPR and AED.

Visitors will have the chance to have a first-hand look at the impressive equipment and vehicles at the station and meet the Firefighters, as well as having the opportunity to ride a fire engine for a donation to the Young Firefighters Association.

Station Commander, Phill Sanders said: "We would hope that lots of members of the public turn out to our Community Safety Day to meet the crews, watch the exciting demonstrations we have lined up on the day as well as ride a fire engine! It is set to be a great fun filled day for all!"
