Man rescued from cellar

The Service was alerted to the incident just before 9.40am and fire crews from Tenbury Wells and Leominster attended along with police and ambulance crews.

Station Commander Neil Lilwall from HWFRS said: “The first firefighters at the scene helped ambulance staff gain access to the cellar to reach the injured man. They also called for the line rescue team from Malvern to attend and they set up a line rescue system to secure the casualty and lift him on a stretcher safely out of the cellar.”

The injured man was then taken by land ambulance to hospital.

HWFRS gave the stop message just after 11.10am.
