Crews called to multiple flood incidents

Multiple calls (around 30) were received between 8.30am and 10am in Herefordshire and then upwards of 30 calls were received in Worcestershire from 10am onwards as the rain moved eastwards. These were primarily in the Bromsgrove and Rubery areas, although there were some calls from Worcester, Droitwich and Stourport.

Many incidents involve flooding to properties or vehicles stuck in flood waters.

A crew from Kington was called to a property in Lyonshall at around 8.35am to reports of flooding involving electrics, while crews from Eardisley and Leintwardine were called at around 8.55am to reports of a car stuck in floodwater just off the A4112 at Letton, near Eardisley.

The rescue boats from Hereford and Worcester joined fire crews from Hereford and Ross in Llanwarne following at call just before 9.40am reporting a car stuck in floodwater.

A further update will be issued later.
