Bromsgrove Police and Fire Station open day
Bromsgrove Police and Fire Station on Slideslow Drive will be opening its doors to the public this Saturday (2 September) from 12pm - 4pm for its annual open day. The event is one of many in the lead up to October in which West Mercia Police celebrate their 50th Anniversary. The joint station open day is free for all to attend and promises to be entertaining for all of the family.
There will be a wide range of fun filled activities for everyone to enjoy including firefighting and ladder scenarios including Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service's (HWFRS) Young Firefighters Association, CPR demonstrations, a chip pan fire demonstration and a road traffic collision demonstration where you can watch firefighters and West Mercia Police demonstrate how and what equipment they would use to rescue casualties from such incidents.
Additional to all this visitors will get to meet the local firefighters and police officers at the station and see the police dogs in action as well as learn what to do in a fire in their home in the HWFRS smoke house.
