Car Pulled From Building – Malvern Link

On the afternoon of Saturday 31st July 2010 at 12:23pm Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called to an incident on the Worcester Road, Malvern Link, Worcestershire to reports of a car that had crashed into and entered a shop front property.


Appliances from Malvern and Worcester arrived at the scene to find a red hatchback in the front of a shop property with no persons trapped. A structural engineer was called to the scene, electrical supplies isolated and fire fighters made the vehicle safe before extricating the vehicle from the building with a Tirfor winch.

The Services specialist Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team also attended the scene to shore the building and control the risk of further collapse.

The incident was closed at 2:52pm.
