  • Fire Service to hold annual Bonfire Party at Redditch Fire Station

    Redditch Fire Station, located on Birmingham road, are getting ready for their annual bonfire and firework display which will take place on Saturday 5 November. Doors open at 6pm. Entry costs £4 for adults and £2 for children.

  • Fire Service and the Canal & River Trust team up to make Diglis Weir safer

  • Fire Service supports Candle Fire Safety Week

    Fire and Rescue Services across the country are asking people to take care this Candle Fire Safety Week (17 – 23 October) and snuff out the risk of fire in their homes.
    Candle fires result in around 350 casualties each year, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) is urging people to take extra care with candles this winter - over 40% of all fires started by candles result in a death or injury.

  • Opportunity for young people to join exciting Fire Service youth group

    An exciting opportunity has recently arisen for 13-17 year olds to join the Young Firefighters Association (YFA), which helps young people challenge themselves, make new friends, learn exciting firefighting skills and help their communities.

  • Fire Authority gives green light to proceed with the Wyre Forest Emergency Services Hub

  • Local talented firefighters thrive in national challenge

    On Saturday 8 October, two teams of firefighters from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service joined fire services from across the country to compete in the National Breathing Apparatus Challenge and the team from Broadway Fire Station managed to gain an impressive second place.
