Worcester Warriors Train with Us

First team players and coaching staff from Worcester Warriors teamed up with Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service recently for a training session with a difference. The usual rugby training for the Warriors was replaced for one day by various drills and exercises run by Firefighters. The Warriors took part in three different scenarios including; a rural fire, a building fire involving a ‘casualty’ and a road traffic collision rescue.

Assistant Chief Fire Officer Jon Hall said: “We were delighted to be able to support the Worcester Warriors in their pre-season training. The event also proved useful for our Service as we always find it worthwhile organising training events and incident scenarios. It was a good opportunity for our Young Firefighters to get involved in such a high profile event.” Keir Hansen, Strength & Conditioning Co-ordinator at Warriors, said: “We approached the Fire and Rescue Service to see if they would like to be involved and they were really keen to help give the Warriors a real taste of the wonderful and courageous work they do.”
