Retained Firefighter

We are not recruiting for Wholetime Firefighters at present, however, we are currently in need of Retained Firefighters at a number of our Retained Fire Stations across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

If you live or work within 5 minutes* of your chosen Retained Fire Station, are over 18 and looking for an exciting spare time opportunity, the Retained Duty System may be for you. * The needs of the Service and individual circumstances are taken into account.

As a trainee Firefighter you will receive an annual retainer of £2,090*. You will also be paid £9.54 per hour for attending incidents and training, plus £3.65 disturbance payment for each call-out.
*Providing 120 hours cover per week.
