Volunteers

Come & join us...

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) pro-actively engages in a broad range of safety initiatives within our local communities.

This includes both fire awareness and prevention and planning and preparation for emergency response, especially where the vulnerable within the community are concerned. This can include older people, those living alone, minority groups and people with disabilities or long term illness.

We are looking to recruit volunteers in the South Worcestershire area who can:

  • help with public safety events and station open days
  • support staff in delivering Home Fire Safety Checks
  • manage community resources at designated stations
  • work with community groups to promote Safety Awareness

Who volunteers with us?

Ordinary people from all walks of life, who come from varied ethnic backgrounds and all sections of the local population who want to actively help improve the quality of life for their own communities.

So if you have a few hours to spare each week and are keen to work within your local community in order to help us promote our safety awareness please get in touch.
