Specialist Information
The control unit acts as a forward command and control point at all large and major incidents. Its communication systems include radio, telephone and fax machine as well as a radio system to be used exclusively at the site of the incident, a Heli-Teli link and full ITS equipment. The vehicle is fully air-conditioned and has Command, Conference and Communications sections. When deployed it is always accompanied by a fire appliance.
It has a 7kw generator to power the on-board systems.
