Tell us more about your fire service career

I started my career in 1994 serving as an on-call firefighter at Hereford Fire Station. I realised quite quickly that I had an aptitude for the job and enjoyed the varied work, leading me to join the Service as a wholetime employee in 1997. Since then I have worked on various Watches and managed a number of Fire Stations’ across the Service, undertaken multiple office-based roles prior to taking up the role of Director for Response.
