There will be plenty for visitors to enjoy, as not only will they get to meet their local firefighters, but they will also get a closer look at the impressive equipment that they use on a regular basis. If you have any fancied riding on a fire engine, then now is your chance as there will be rides taking place throughout the day.

The public will also get a chance to see some thrilling demonstrations, which will include a road traffic collision scenario and a smoke house exercise. In between these demonstrations, visitors can tuck in the barbecue on offer, look around the static water rescue display and enjoy some fire and road safety advice from the firefighters.

The event takes place from 11am until 4pm and in addition to the usual entertainment, there will be a variety of competitions and prizes.
