Key personnel at Wyre Forest recognised with Chairman’s Commendation

Four key members of staff at Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s Wyre Forest Station have been given a commendation by the chairman of the Hereford & Worcester Fire Authority, Councillor Roger Phillips.

Station Commander Daryl Justice, Watch Commanders Len Rees and Mike Jenkins and Crew Commander Mark Moule have been praised for their leadership and management contribution in the transition from three stations in the Wyre Forest to the new Wyre Forest station.

CC Moule was consistently proactive in identifying crewing shortfalls at Stourport and Bewdley and making arrangements to make either pump available, showing a great example of selflessness and commitment to providing a great service to the community.

WCs Rees and Jenkins have been nominated for their contribution to the success of the build project, maintaining effective communication and engagement with staff.

SC Justice’s meticulous planning and proactive engagement with wholetime and on-call staff, local councillors and members of the public ensured not only a successfully completed project but also a positive and productive workforce.

The quartet were nominated by Group Commander George Marshall, with the support of Area Commander Guy Palmer, and received their awards from Deputy Chief Fire Officer Keith Chance.

The Chairman’s certificate of commendation goes to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Fire and Rescue Authority or assisted the Authority in the delivery of its duty.
