in News

The Watch will be rowing the equivalent distance of the English Channel and back again on a static rower which will be in St Andrew’s Square. They plan to do the 42 mile row in fire gear and they will also be wearing breathing apparatus sets.

Watch Commander Michael James said: “We’re delighted to be part of the Salt Fest celebrations and we will be raising funds for Help for Heroes, a charity which gives back to those who given so generously for their country.

“We would welcome support from those who visit Salt Fest. We’ll also be on hand to give out advice on fire safety in the home and to see if anyone would benefit from a free home safety check.”

The crew will be next to Lloyds bank between 10am and 4pm. Supporters can donate to the cause by visiting this site. http://www.bmycharity.com/greens26h4h The firefighters wish to express their thanks to Physique Fitness in Droitwich for donating energy drinks and food for the event.
