Crews assist at RTCs

in News

The first happened at around 8.45am near the junction of Headless Cross Drive and Evesham Road in Redditch and involved two cars. Two fire engines from Redditch fire station attended and crews removed the roof from one of the cars to release a female casualty who was trapped inside. She was then taken by ambulance to hospital along with a male casualty from the collision. Fire crews made safe the vehicles before leaving the scene.

Two pumps from Bromsgrove fire station were then called to Old Birmingham Road in Marlbrook, Bromsgrove, after a car was in collision with a bus shelter, just before 9.25am. Working alongside paramedics, crews used specialist cutting equipment to remove the side of the car to reach a male casualty more easily. The man was then lifted from the vehicle on a spinal board and taken to hospital by land ambulance.
