Man Released From Car

The incident involved a collision between a bus and a car along Washford Drive shortly before 8.15am.

Two fire crews from Redditch, one from Bromsgrove and the Incident Support Unit from Droitwich attended, and firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the doors and the roof from the car to release the driver who was trapped inside. He was taken by ambulance to hospital following his release.

Two children were also in the car and they escaped unharmed.

The bus driver is believed to have suffered a minor leg injury during the collision while the passengers on the bus were unhurt.

The road was closed for around an hour and a half as a result of the incident.
