Open Day at Pershore Fire Station
in News
This year’s open day will take place at Pershore Fire Station in Defford Road on Monday 27 May, from 12-midday until 4pm.
There will be fire engines and other equipment used by the Service on display, plus a chance to meet the crew and hear first-hand about the work they do and the risks they face as they respond to emergency calls.
Those attending will have chance to pick up a range of safety advice and watch a series of demonstrations throughout the day, including a dramatic chip pan fire, a mock road traffic collision and a breathing apparatus demonstration. The air ambulance POD will also be on display for visitors to take a closer look at.
There will be refreshments available, a treasure hunt, face-painting and a range of other activities on offer. Local Young Firefighters will also be attending.
Becky Valender, Community Safety Advisor with Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The open day promises to be a fun-filled day with plenty to interest visitors of all ages. Entry is free so please make a note of the date, and come along with your family and friends!”
