Collision at Upton Bishop

Two fire crews from Ross-on-Wye attended, arriving at the scene to find a collision involving a pick-up truck and a car, with a woman medically trapped inside the car. Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and then unbolted the car door and folded back a sunroof to gain access. The casualty was then lifted out and taken by land ambulance to hospital.

With snow and ice across much of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and the cold spell set to continue, the Fire Service is repeating its warning to motorists to take extreme care on the counties’ roads. Key advice includes avoiding unnecessary journeys, ensuring all snow and ice is removed from the your vehicle before setting off and reducing your speed.
