Open day at Droitwich Fire Station this Saturday

Droitwich Fire Station on Friar Street will be opening its doors to the public this Saturday (25 July) for their annual open day.

Visitors will have the exciting opportunity to get a closer look at the impressive fire engines and equipment that firefighters use on a regular basis. The fire crews will also providing fire safety advice and hosting an array of demonstrations throughout the day, which include house fire and chip pan scenarios.

If that's not thrilling enough, the public will also get an insight into the life of a firefighter with fire engine rides and the opportunity to undertake the breathing apparatus experience. The Young Firefighters Association will also be performing demonstrations and St John Ambulance will be putting on a display.


The event takes place from 11am till 3pm and in addition to the usual face-painting, there will be stocks, splat the rat, competitions and a raffle with fantastic prizes. Visitors won't go hungry either as refreshments will be available throughout the day, including a cake sale and a BBQ.
