1m Government Funding to Support Specialist Rescue Teams

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) is set to receive just over £1m funding to help support rescue teams that can deal with major incidents such as extreme weather, building collapses or terrorism.

A collision between a coach and a saloon vehicle took place at Evesham Road, Astwood, in Redditch on January 26 at 8am. The police and ambulances were also called to the scene, with both land and air ambulances on standby. The stop message was given at 9.01am. The man, rescued by firefighters, was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
