Kidderminster Flat Fire

At 08:58Hrs on Friday 14th May 2010, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Service was called to reports of fire in a first floor flat on Riflerange Road, Kidderminster. Crews from Kidderminster and Stourport, attended the incident and tackled the blaze.

Caravan Destroyed After Fire

At 16:29Hrs on Wednesday 12th May 2010, the Service received a number of calls reporting a caravan fire in Bridstow near Ross-on-Wye. Three crews of on-call firefighters from Ross-on-Wye (2) and Whitchurch (1) attended the incident.

Chemical Spillage

At 06:08Hrs on Tuesday 11th May 2010, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Service was called to reports of a chemical spillage in Drybrook Road, Weston-under-Penyard, Herefordshire. Crews from Ross-on-Wye, and Hereford fire stations attended along with specialist Incident Response crews from Hereford and the Environmental Protection Unit from Evesham.

Retiring - After 40 Years Service

A Senior Fire Control Operator who managed Hereford and Worcester Fire Brigade’s emergency control room during the 1979 fire at Worcester’s Woolworths store and Hereford’s Sun Valley Poultry fire in 1993, is retiring this week after a successful 40 year career.
