First time for Fire Service at Dilwyn Show

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (H&WFRS) will be taking a stand at the Dilwyn Show for the first time this year and is urging visitors to stop by to try out some of the fun activities on offer and to get advice on fire, water and road safety.

Warning - BBQ Starts House Fire in Worcester

Fire Officers have issued a warning to local residents following a fire which started in a garden BBQ and spread to the house causing injury to one person yesterday evening (Tuesday 19th April 2011).

River Wye Water Rescue

Two Fire Appliances and a Water Rescue Response Team from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a person who was observed to be in difficulties in the River Wye shortly after 7:30pm on Saturday 16th April, near to the Water Works Museum on Broomy Hill.

Hereford & WorcesterFire and Rescue Service were called at 12:35pm this afternoon (Monday 18th April, 2011) when fire broke out at a Tyrrells Crisps Factory in Tyrrells Court Herefordshire. At the height of the blaze 10 fire appliances were called in to tackle the fire. All persons have been accounted for and no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters Awarded for Their Bravery

Following the recent conclusion of a court case Chief Fire Officer Mark Yates has today recognised Firefighters from Evesham Fire Station for the bravery they showed during a tragic incident they attended in the River Avon.
