Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) has pledged its support for the sixth annual Gas Safety Week (19 - 25 September); that sees the whole industry come together to bring gas safety to the forefront of people's minds. If left unchecked, poorly serviced gas appliances can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

For the last 8 weeks, an extensive public consultation on the proposed Wyre Forest Emergency Services Hub has been underway. This public consultation is due to close on 9 September 2016 and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) is encouraging Wyre Forest residents and business owners to give their view on the location of the hub before the consultation finishes.
