Man rescued from Hereford flat fire

Early yesterday morning (29 January), firefighters rescued a man from a flat fire in Springfield Avenue, Hereford. The Service was called at approximately 3:45am and three crews from Hereford Fire Station attended the incident.

Fire in Worcester apartment building

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire in a residential apartment building on Princes Drive, Worcester at approximately 8.15pm on Thursday evening (26 January).
Three fire engines from Worcester Fire Station arrived swiftly at the scene and on arrival the crews were faced with a fire within the communal stairwell of a two-storey building. The staircase itself was heavily smoke-logged.

Police crackdown on distracted drivers

Warwickshire Police, West Mercia Police and the Safer Roads Partnership are supporting the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) mobile phone week of action this week, by reminding motorists to avoid deadly distractions at the wheel and continuing to crack down on anyone who breaks the law.
