BBC H&W breakfast presenters visit Worcester Fire Station

BBC H&W breakfast presenters, Elliott and Toni, became firefighters for the day when they recently visited Worcester Fire Station. The visit was hosted by Worcester RDS who took the time to come in especially for the event. Crew Commander Steph Vincent and Firefighter Dan Hollings gave fantastic interviews and shared their experiences as on-call firefighters in a bid to promote recruitment.

RTC training day at Fire Service College

On Saturday 18 February crews from Pebworth, Pershore, Upton-Upon-Severn and Kidderminster attended the Fire Service College to take part in some realistic RTC training that involved live casualties and authentic scenarios.

Worcester Cathedral rope rescue

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS), and ambulance crews attended a specialised rescue at height from Worcester Cathedral bell tower.
Two crews from Worcester and a specialist Rope Rescue team from Malvern were called to assist the ambulance service at 16:57pm on 11 February 2017.

House fire in Worcester

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS), police and ambulance crews attended a house fire in Cherry Tree Walk, Worcester on 11 February 2017.
HWFRS received an initial emergency call at 08:34am, followed by numerous further calls, reporting a significant fire in a three storey terraced property. In total 5 fire appliances and an aerial appliance were deployed to the incident.
