On call firefighter Chris Toye, from Broadway station, has achieved third place in the 18-29s category of the prestigious British Firefighters Challenge 2021, which recently took place at the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh.

Some 90 Year 11 students from King Charles 1 School and Sixth Form Centre in Kidderminster have attended Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s annual Dying 2 Drive roadshow initiative, which took place at Wyre Forest Fire Station last week, with members of Hereford & Worcester Fire Authority’s also attending the event.

October is Check Your Smoke Alarm month in the Fire Kills campaign, so HWFRS is urging people to test their smoke alarms - research shows that only 26 per cent of all households who own an alarm test them on a regular basis.
