Do you have a smoke alarm on every level?

Smoke alarms can mean the difference between life and death. Make sure you give yourself the best protection possible by installing smoke alarms on every level of your home.

Having one smoke alarm is simply not sufficient if you live in a property with more than one floor. At the very minimum, you should install one on every floor of your house. If possible, install smoke alarms in every room except the bathroom.

Missing or flat batteries could also cost you that vital escape time so don't forget to test your smoke alarm regularly to ensure it's in working order. Keep an eye on older smoke alarms too as they need replacing every ten years.
