Fire Cadets
The Fire Cadets is a uniformed youth organisation. Fire Cadets provides fun and challenging inclusive opportunities for young people to reach their full potential contributing to safer, stronger and healthier communities.
Run by volunteers, the Fire Cadet Branch is based in Droitwich. They meet every Wednesday 19:00-21:00hrs.
Fire Cadets are aged 13 – 17 years. We recruit new Cadets every June to start in September. In order to join you must be no older than 16 on 1 June of that year.
New Cadets take part in a structured training programme from September to May where they learn a wider variety of skills and practical exercise that focuses on Fire Service activities, prevention activities and social responsibility.
The culmination of this training is the Fire Cadet Award 1 and a Celebration of Success event in early May where they demonstrate their new found skills to their families.
Cadets also take part in a wide range of other activities including fundraising and adventurous pursuits.
Fire Cadets is based on an open to all ethos. There is no weekly subscription to be a Cadet.
