Station Commander

"Worcester Fire Station is located on the outskirts of the city centre in Great Western Business Park. The site also houses the Service's Incident Command Training Centre, a state-of-the-art facility that provides existing and developing commanders an opportunity to practise their incident command skills in a deliberate learning environment."

Other Station Information

Worcester Fire Station is located on the outskirts of the city centre in Great Western Business Park.

The station has three duty systems that work out of the station: Wholetime Shift, who provide cover 24/7; Wholetime Day Duty, who provide cover from 07:00-19:00 every day; and the On-Call duty system, whose firefighters crew one appliance in the day and two appliances at night and respond to emergency calls whenever they are needed.

The station has three Scania fire engines, as well as an aerial ladder platform and a water rescue vehicle. These vehicles, along with highly trained staff, allow the crews to deal with a range of fire or rescue related incidents in both the Worcester area and across the wider service.

There is also a Strategic Training Facility and State of the art Incident Command Training Centre based at Worcester Fire Station which allows for advanced training and incident command exercises that further prepare the crews for the many different types of fires and rescues they face and command on a regular basis. The building also accommodates our Prevention and Protection Teams and has multi-use lecture facilities. More recently we have collaborated with our colleagues from British Transport Police, who share some of our facilities and enhance our partnership working.

On-call drill nights are held at the Fire Station every Monday commencing at 6.30pm.

Station risk profile

A station risk profile is a review of potential life risks in each of the Fire and Rescue Service’s fire station areas.
