"Our Fire Station, which we share with West Mercia Police, will be 10 years old in October 2024 and was the first purpose-built multi-agency facility in the UK, a model which has now been repeated successfully elsewhere. Four wholetime watches cover the urban and rural communities served by the station supported by on-call firefighters who work part-time and respond to fire calls in the area when needed."

Other Station Information

Bromsgrove Police and Fire Station was officially opened by HRH Princess Alexandra in October 2014 and is the first purpose built multi-agency facility in the UK. The area served by the station stretches 83.9 square miles and is a mixture of both urban and rural communities.

The station is crewed by four wholetime watches who provide cover 24/7 on a shift system. There are 17 on-call firefighters who work part-time responding to fire calls within the area when needed.

There are two Scania appliances stationed at Bromsgrove, including a dedicated Compressed Air Foam System and Water First Responder equipment, allowing dual attendance at incidents. Furthermore, being close to a busy motorway network, the station also has equipment which provides a heavy cutting rescue capability.

On-call drill nights are held at the Fire Station every Thursday commencing at 7:00pm.

Station risk profile

A station risk profile is a review of potential life risks in each of the Fire and Rescue Service’s fire station areas.
