Freedom of Information Compliance Statistics

In 2018 the Information Commissioners Office published a revised Freedom of Information Act Code of Practice. One of the new requirements for public authorities is to publish more detail around request statistics.

( FOIA ) Freedom Of Information Act.

From 1 April 2019 the Service will be publishing these compliance statistics quarterly. The datasets will be published one month after the end of the quarter. This is because public authorities have up to 20 working days to respond to requests and reporting a month after the end of the quarter allows time for the outcomes of all requests made during that quarter to be captured.

The Service’s FOI Compliance Statistics Report provides you with details of our performance regarding handling requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The Service’s Compliance Statistics Report contains the following information:

  • The total number of received requests during the period.
  • The number of the received requests that have not yet been processed.
  • The number of the received requests that were processed in full.
  • The number of the received requests that were suspended.
  • The number of the received requests where the information was granted in full.
  • The number of the received requests where the information was partially disclosed and partially refused.
  • The number of the received requests where the information was partially disclosed and partially not held.
  • The number of the received requests where the information was refused in full because information was not held.
