Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) has now launched its new Community Risk Management Plan 2021-25 (CRMP), which is ultimately the overall strategy for keeping people, their homes, communities and the environment safe.
The high-level plan addresses how the organisation intends to meet upcoming challenges over the next four years, whilst also delivering its usual core services and keeping people in the two counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire safe.
Chief Fire Officer Jonathon Pryce said: “A lot has been achieved over the last few years, but there are still many challenges ahead. This plan sets out how we intend to meet these challenges, whilst still delivering our essential services.”
He continued: “The document looks at what we believe are the main risks and sets out plans to tackle these risks through activities centred around prevention, protection and emergency response. It also explains how we will maintain resilience through collaborative work, how we will continue to support our workforce, and how we will deliver the best value we can to our communities.”
Further details can be found in the CRMP, which is now available online in the Publications section of the HWFRS website – www.hwfire.org.uk. Annual action plans and performance data will be produced moving forward so as to monitor progress against the plan.
The document went through an extensive 12 week consultation process in 2020, which ensured that all views were taken into consideration before the document was finalised.
